Dior Cruise 2027: Jonathan Anderson Takes Hollywood by Storm

Jonathan Anderson's first Cruise collection for Dior didn't just arrive , it made a statement. And Los Angeles was the only city that could have held it.

The show unfolded at LACMA's newly opened David Geffen Galleries, a sweeping architectural landmark designed by Peter Zumthor that felt less like a backdrop and more like a co-author. Fashion, art and architecture in conversation ,exactly the kind of stage Anderson was always going to choose.

The collection drew its soul from Old Hollywood. A 1949 Haute Couture jacket once worn by Marlene Dietrich in Hitchcock's Stage Fright set the tone from the very beginning , nostalgic but never sentimental, cinematic but never costume. Californian poppies bloomed through the florals. Surrealism shimmered through everything else.

The Bar jacket came back, but looser this time — distressed blue beading on some versions, raw hems on others. Glitter landed on sunglasses, eyeshadow, handbags and dresses that caught the light like they were made for convertible headlights. Pyjama-like shirts, checked tops stamped with numerals, mismatched earrings. The whole collection had an offbeat, almost dreamlike energy that felt completely deliberate.

Accessories told their own story , Lady Dior in houndstooth, Bow Bags in newspaper print, the new Cigale Bag making its debut alongside snail and ladybug minaudières that somehow made perfect sense in context.

In the front row: Taylor Russell, Anya Taylor-Joy, Sabrina Carpenter , and JISOO. Because even when Dior goes to Hollywood, it never stops looking East.
